St James’ the Great Church, Melsonby
Bell Restoration Project
Thank you for your interest in the Project, the project will install eight bells into the tower at St James’ the Great church. The maintenance and running costs of St James’ the Great church are entirely met by public donations, no central funding is received. The church funds will not be used for the bell project, only donations to the bell project will be used for this purpose.
How to Donate
There are several ways to donate to the project, these are described below but if you have any issues with this please contact the project team by email at melsonbybells@gmail.com or call Graham Smith on 07881 022 353.
- Online Giving
You can donate online using our donation page on The CAF (Charities Aid Foundation) website.
- Visit the CAF (Charities Aid Foundation) website, select 'donate' and search for 'PCC of St James' the Great, Melsonby' or you can use the URL address:https://cafdonate.cafonline.org/27567
- Using a BACS transfer
Donations can be made directly to the church account, the donation will be restricted to use for the bell project. Please use the following information:

- Account Name: PCC of Melsonby (St James the Great)
- Account Number: 00010925
- Using the card reader in St James’ the Great Church
A card reader is available, by the door, in St James’ the Great church, you can donate to the project using this. Please let us know that the donation is for the bell fund, rather than general church expenses, email at melsonbybells@gmail.com or call/text Graham Smith on 07881 022 353, the amount donated does not need to be specified, just that your donation is for the bell fund.

Cash Donations can be handed to any member of Melsonby PCC or call Graham on 07881 022 353.
