This year Deanery Synod Reps are also elected for a period of 3 years.
Deanery Synod is a great night out! In pre Covid times Synod Reps, Clergy and Readers from across the Deanery (our Deanery stretches from Lower Teesdale across to Croft and Appleton Wiske, and down to Catterick and across to Grinton and Arkengarthedale) would meet together in a church hall every couple of months for tea and biscuits and to listen to interesting speakers, discuss relevant topics and plan for the future together. Our next meeting (5 October) will be via Zoom with Bishop Helen-Ann (who is Bishop of an area covering 6 Deaneries, stretching down to Skipton and Wetherby).
Across our Benefice we are entitled to five Deanery Synod Reps and so do get in touch if you would like to stand for election (nomination form).
