Darlington Area Churches Youth Ministry

Each week Kath from the Village Seeds Project Worker Project from the Darlington Area Churches Youth Ministry (DACYM) spends a morning in Melsonby school teaching RE and then leading Collective Worship. She now also leads Collective worship at Eppleby once or twice each half term.

Originally established in 2007 by local churches, DACYM became an independent charity in 2010. DACYM work alongside churches, schools, colleges and the local authority.  To find out more visit www.dacym.co.uk

On Sunday, September 30th at 4pm DACYM is holding a 5 year celebration of the Villages Seeds Project at St Peter's, Croft. Bishop Helen-Ann is going to be the guest speaker and children from different schools across the area are going to be actively involved. Everyone is welcome to attend.

Refreshments will be served after the service.

The DACYM also organises residentials for children and young people. QUEST weekend is coming up at at Marrick Priory (21st- 23rd Sept) for pupils in school years 5, 6 & 7 (as of September). Last term Years 4,5,& 6 children at Melsonby received the flyer but if you know of any other children in those age groups (aged 9-11 (coming up to 12)) living in our villages who might be interested do pass on the details.
